Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Km. 104 – Wiñaywayna – Inti Punku – Aguas Calientes
Pickup at your hotel and train ride
Very early in the morning, we pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the train station and board the train to Km. 104, the starting point of the hike.
Start of the hike at Km. 104
After crossing the bridge over the Urubamba River, we begin the hike by visiting the archaeological centers of Chachabamba and Choquesuysuy.
Ascent to Wiñaywayna
Approximately 4 hours of hiking along Inca trails, agricultural terraces, and stone stairways until reaching the impressive archaeological complex of Wiñaywayna.
Box lunch
A rest stop to recharge your energy before the final section.
Hike to Inti Punku
We continue for about 2 hours along trails, stairs, and flat paths until reaching the Sun Gate, from where you will have your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu.
Descent to Machu Picchu and bus to Aguas Calientes
We then descend toward the citadel to enjoy the first views and finally take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in a hotel.

Bus ride to the citadel
Very early in the morning, we board the bus to reach Machu Picchu and enjoy the sunrise over the wonder of the world.
Guided tour in Machu Picchu
You will enjoy an approximately 2-hour and 30-minute guided tour through the main temples and sectors of the citadel, such as the Main Temple, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, and other ceremonial spaces.
Additional free time
Afterward, you will have free time to explore, take photographs, or simply enjoy this unique place. You can also add Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain with prior reservation.
Return to Cusco
We descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch. Then we take the train to Ollantaytambo and finally the transportation back to Cusco.
