We will pick you up from your hotel very early. We will board our transport and head northwest from Cusco, enjoying the Andean sunrise along the scenic 2-hour drive.
We will arrive at the welcoming village of Mollepata. We will make a stop to stretch our legs, use the restrooms, and get ready for the day ahead.
We will enjoy a complete Andean breakfast to recharge our energy, essential before continuing our journey to the trailhead.
After a scenic drive to Soraypampa (3,900 m / 12,795 ft), we will begin our ascent of approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes. The trail is steep, but the panoramic views of the glaciers will motivate you with every step.
You made it! At 4,200 m (13,779 ft) a.s.l., the stunning turquoise lake awaits. You will have ample time to rest, listen to the guide’s insightful explanation, and take spectacular photos.
We will begin our descent along the same trail. The downhill walk is much faster and easier, rewarding us with sweeping panoramic views of the entire Soraypampa Valley.
We will board our transport back to Mollepata, where a delicious and replenishing Andean buffet lunch awaits to restore your energy.
We will begin the return journey to the city in our comfortable tourist transport—a perfect opportunity to rest while admiring the mountain scenery.
Approximate arrival at 5:00 p.m. The tour concludes by dropping you off at a central location in the city, just a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
