Departure from Cusco:

4:00 a.m. – The tour begins early in the morning with the pick-up of participants from their accommodations in Cusco. A private transport will take them to the Pacchanta community, the starting point of the adventure.

Breakfast in Pacchanta:

7:00 a.m. – After a 3-hour journey, the group arrives at Pacchanta, a picturesque Andean community. Here, participants will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast featuring local products such as regional bread, fresh cheese, jam, and hot drinks—perfect for recharging before the hike.

Start of the Hike to the Lakes:

8:00 a.m. – The hike to the 7 lakes of Ausangate begins, a journey of approximately 5 to 6 hours. The route takes you through mountainous landscapes with spectacular views of Mount Ausangate and surrounding peaks. Along the way, you’ll encounter typical local flora and fauna, including alpacas and llamas grazing in the fields.

Tour of the 7 Lakes:

9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – During the hike, the group will visit the seven main lakes, each with its unique natural charm:

• Comercocha – The first lake, with calm waters and a bright turquoise hue.
• Patacocha – The second lake, known for its beautiful surroundings, framed by mountains.
• Alqacocha – The third lake, featuring crystal-clear waters that reflect the Andean sky.
• Otorongococha – The fourth lake, famous for its serenity and the presence of local bird species.
• Azulcocha – The fifth lake, with deep blue waters that contrast with the landscape.
• Pucacocha – The sixth lake, one of the largest, with turquoise, deep waters.
• Q'omercocha – The seventh and final lake, with mesmerizing emerald green waters, surrounded by mountains and glaciers.

Each of these lakes offers stunning views, with colors ranging from turquoise to emerald green. It’s an ideal spot for photography and enjoying nature at its finest.

Hot Springs of Pacchanta:

2:30 p.m. – After completing the lake tour, the group returns to the Pacchanta community, where they can enjoy a well-deserved rest in the local hot springs. Relax while taking in breathtaking views of Mount Ausangate and the surrounding natural beauty.

Traditional Andean Lunch:

3:00 p.m. – After the rest, a traditional Andean lunch will be served, prepared by the local community. The menu includes typical regional dishes such as cuy chactado (fried guinea pig), papa a la huancaína (potatoes with cheese sauce), and various preparations of quinoa, offering an authentic culinary experience.

Return to Cusco:

4:00 p.m. – After lunch and relaxation, the group begins the journey back to Cusco.

5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Estimated arrival time in Cusco, just in time to rest after a day full of unforgettable experiences.
