Full Day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas

Pickup from Accommodation (6:30 a.m.):

We begin the day with pickup from your accommodation in Cusco by your tour guide, who will give a brief introduction to the journey.

Chinchero:

We will visit this picturesque town, famous for its ancestral textile tradition, where we will learn about the art of traditional weaving and explore the ruins of this important Inca ceremonial center.

Moray:

Next, we head towards the agricultural terraces of Moray, an impressive example of Inca engineering that allowed them to experiment with different microclimates.

Maras Salt Mines:

We then visit the Maras salt mines, where the Incas extracted salt from over 5,000 ponds, an important resource for food preservation and rituals.

Lunch in Urubamba (1:00 p.m.):

Enjoy a buffet lunch featuring traditional Peruvian dishes, perfect for recharging your energy.

Ollantaytambo:

We will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, known for its terraces and historical significance in the Inca Empire. We will climb to the top to enjoy panoramic views of the valley.

Pisac:

Next, we explore the archaeological site of Pisac, famous for its agricultural terraces, tombs, and ceremonial baths. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the local artisan market.

Return to Cusco (6:00 p.m.):

We finish the tour with the return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation to rest after a day full of history and culture.
